When Are Rego Checks Required?

In NSW, rego checks, also known as eSafety checks, are required annually for most vehicles that are more than five years old. These inspections ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and meet safety standards before renewing its registration. The process involves checking key components such as brakes, tyres, lights, steering, suspension, and overall structural integrity.

Rego checks must be completed at an authorised inspection station, and the results are electronically sent to Transport for NSW, streamlining the registration renewal process.
